Polyester-merino blend wins Performance Days award

California-based  fabric developer Global Merino has been named by Performance Days as the latest winner of the event’s Eco Performance Award.

It has won for a fabric it will have on show at the forthcoming edition of the event in Munich, April 26 and 27. The fabric, GM 1754, is made from 64% polyester and 36% merino and is biodegradable. Special recycled polyester used in the fabric makes this possible.

This recycled PET decomposes much faster than conventional polyester, the organisers of Performance Days said on making the announcement.
