November’s Performance Days to focus on thermal technologies
The forthcoming Performance Days event in Munich (November 8-9) will have the development of fibres, fabrics and smart technologies for keeping the wearer’s body warm as its central focus.

Its focus topic will be: ‘Thermal Technologies: from fibre to smart textiles’.

“No other topic is of more concern to active athletes than the desire for temperature comfort,” the organisers have said. It describes appropriate insulation for both cold and warmth without overheating as “elementary needs” and says that achieving this requires a lot of expert knowledge.

As well as the range of fibres and fabrics for winter 2019/2020 on display, visitors will be able to attend a series of workshops related to the event’s focus topic.

There will also be information about all the latest developments in smart textiles related to heat generation and body temperature control.
