Sympatex unveils laminates based on Tencel fibres

High-tech functional materials developer Sympatex Technologies presented the first results of a new partnership with Lenzing at Performance Days (April 26-27).

It unveiled highly-functional laminates based on Lenzing’s Tencel speciality fibres. Sympatex said the laminates “combine excellent breathability and extremely pleasant wear comfort without making any compromises on wind or water resistance”. 

The development forms part of the company’s ‘Agenda 2020’ sustainability strategy. Sympatex explained that the laminates are produced using a “highly environmentally friendly procedure”.

“Thanks to the cooperation with Lenzing, we have taken a huge step forward to fulfil our goal of improving the overall ecological balance,” said Dr. Rüdiger Fox, CEO of Sympatex.
