Huntsman helps Indian villagers secure access to clean water

Huntsman Textile Effects has installed a new water tank for villagers living close to its plant in Vadodara in the state of Gujarat in India. The tank, which has the capacity to store 500,000 litres of clean water for villagers in nearby Luna village to use, was officially inaugurated on June 9.

President of Huntsman Textile Effects, Rohit Aggarwal, said at an event to mark the project: “We recognise our responsibility to make a sustainable and vibrant world possible for future generations. Water is an essential resource and we are grateful for the opportunity to support and work closely with village leaders and local authorities with a sustainable solution to water issues faced by local villagers.”
