Zip technology developer YKK has announced its latest creation, the Excella Fin zipper. The new product extends the teeth of the zip to the tape, to protect it from friction and tearing.

These newly designed teeth are a size 75, making the zip ideal for use in garments, shoes, accessories and luggage, YKK said at the time of the launch.

Options include 20 different platings and more than 600 tape colours.
