Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics to include Functional Lab again

The autumn 2017 edition of the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics exhibition will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (near Hongqiao airport) from October 11-13, organiser Messe Frankfurt has said.

Messe Frankfurt said it expects around 4,500 exhibitors from more than 25 countries to take part and that the event will attract trade buyers from around 100 countries. “Occurring towards the end of the autumn-winter sourcing period, buyers come to the fair well informed of next season’s trends,” the organiser said, “and are in a position to be able to make their purchasing decisions from the exhibitors that will be present.”

Once again, there will be a section dedicated to performance textiles under the name Functional Lab. This section will feature around 50 exhibitors this time who will display a wide selection of innovative yarns, fibres, fabrics, accessories, finishes, coatings, membranes and more.

Functional Lab participants in 2017 will include Aquafil from Italy, Vetex from Belgium, and Chemours and Unifi from the US.
