Footwear sustainability summit to take place in Shanghai

The sixth Global Footwear Sustainability Summit will take place in Shanghai on September 1 and 2.

Organisers have said they expect the 2017 event to be the biggest yet, with more than 300 footwear industry executives representing 200 brands taking part.

Topics speakers will cover include the impact of material costs, footwear supply and demand in the wake of the collapse of the Trans Pacific Partnership, footwear production in China and Vietnam, as well as updates on the ZDHC programme.

Materials supplier Covestro will be among the speakers.
