Breaking2 documentary has its premiere

22/09/2017
US television channel National Geographic has aired a documentary about Nike’s Breaking2 project, which aimed to propel an athlete to the first sub-two-hour marathon time in history.

The journey of the three athletes involved - Eliud Kipchoge, Zersenay Tadese and Lelisa Desisa – is chronicled in the documentary. It shows their work in wind tunnel tests and sports labs, their day-to-day lives back home in eastern Africa, and the record attempt itself.

The documentary had its premiere on live television in the US on September 20. It is now available on National Geographic’s YouTube channel here
