International Cotton Association welcomes new president

The International Cotton Association (ICA) has named Salman Ispahani of Pahartali Textile and Hosiery Mills, Bangladesh as its president for 2017-18. Mr Ispahani officially received the presidential medal in Singapore at the gala dinner of ICA’s annual trade event on October 13.

Mr Ispahani said afterwards that he will encourage “ever more transparency and closer liaison” with important growing markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia, engaging with governments and national trade bodies to “spread the ICA vision”.
