Outdoor footwear group Wolverine World Wide has reported its financial results for the third quarter of 2017.

Reported revenue for the quarter of $581.3 million represent a decrease of 3.7% compared to the results for the same quarter in 2016. In terms of the first nine months of the year, Wolverine achieved revenues of almost $1.8 billion, flat compared to the same period last year.

Chief executive, Blake Krueger, said the company was pleased with its “postive momentum” in the third quarter and revenue that “surpassed expectations”.

“We continue to make excellent progress on our enterprise wide strategic transformation, the Wolverine Way Forward,” Mr Krueger said, “including the recently announced sale of our Department of Defense business. Our third quarter results are reflective of this progress.”
