Huntsman adds environmental assurance to High IQ programme

High IQ offers assurances that Huntsman whitening and stain-management technologies will keep the colour or the whiteness of garments brighter for longer.
“Consumers want garments that retain their new look through multiple home launderings,” Huntsman said on making the announcement. “At the same time, there is a global call for more environmentally friendly textiles, produced with less water and energy. Alkaline washing powders, hard tap water and mechanical abrasion from washing machines and clothes driers can rapidly dull coloured textiles, while everyday stains can leave whites looking dull.”
The updates it has made to High IQ mean that brands and mills can use chemical products from Huntsman to achieve lasting colour or lasting whiteness in the knowledge that the technology conforms to “stringent environmental standards”.
Only mills that meet Huntsman’s own “stringent requirements” earn the right to use High IQ hang tags as point-of-sale product branding, the chemicals manufacturer said.
