Wilson marks special Roger Federer achievement

Wilson Sporting Goods has marked a record-breaking achievement by Roger Federer by making a limited-edition collection of exclusive products.

Roger Federer secured his twentieth Grand Slam singles title at the 2018 Australian Open at the end of January in Melbourne, beating Marin Cilic in the final. He is the only player in the history of tennis to achieve 20 men’s singles Grand Slam victories.

To honour this achievement, Wilson created an exclusive package of products focusing on a special Pro Staff RF 97 Autograph racket painted in a metallic, platinum-coloured paint. It created only 20 of these rackets, each individually numbered and autographed by Roger Federer.

Along with the limited-edition racket, each package includes a Roger Federer-signed Australian Open Wilson tennis ball and a premium display box. The package also includes as a series of mini-posters documenting Federer’s 20 Grand Slams titles, a photo of him holding the commemorative racket and a certificate of authenticity.

Wilson gave one of the 20 packages to the winner of a competition on social media. It has put nine others up for sale on its website, while the other ten have become available on Roger Federer’s website. All of the money raised on the tennis star’s own website will go towards funding his foundation’s charitable activities. Half of the money raised from sales of the packages on the Wilson website will go towards the same cause.
