Taiwanese companies “guarantee” innovation

The spring 2018 edition of the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics exhibition will take place in the Chinese city from March 14-16 at the new National Exhibition and Convention Center near Hongqiao airport.

Taiwan will have an important presence with more than 40 participating companies. Organiser Messe Frankfurt said in the build-up to the event that the presence of these Taiwanese exhibitors is “a guaranteed source of innovation at the fair”.

Highlights it pointed to included Paltex, which has a waste-to-yarn regeneration system, turning fishing nets and plastic bottles from the ocean into polyester and nylon fabrics, membranes and trimmings. It also mentioned Tri Ocean Textile, which will feature its DreamFel high-performance filament polypropylene yarn for sports and outdoor apparel applications.
