Outdoor Retailer announces date-change for January event

The organiser of Outdoor Retailer, Emerald Expositions, has announced date-changes for its January show. Next year’s event will take place later than previously announced, from January 30 to February 1, 2019. It will be co-located with the Snow Show, which Emerald acquired in 2017. It will be immediately preceded by an event called Winter Sports Market.

Marisa Nicholson, vice-president and show director for Outdoor Retailer, said on announcing the change: “While we received very positive feedback on this past January show, especially because it combined outdoor and snowsports, we also heard the message from the majority of retailers [that] the early January dates would not work.”

Emerald announced dates for the next four years, with Outdoor Retailer’s January event starting in the last week in the month each time.
