Sports brands top Fashion Transparency Index

Non-profit organisation Fashion Revolution has announced the results of the 2018 Fashion Transparency Index, its ranking of 150 of the biggest global fashion and apparel brands and retailers according to their level of supply chain transparency.

Sports brands adidas and Reebok have claimed the top spot achieving the joint-highest score, with Puma, H&M, Esprit, Banana Republic, Gap, Old Navy, C&A and Marks & Spencer in the group behind.

The North Face, Timberland and G-Star were outside the top ten.

Fashion Revolution said that the proportion of companies publishing details of where their garments were cut, sewn and completed was 37% in 2018, up from just 12.5% two years ago
