TÜV SÜD pledges its support to the Sustainable Apparel Coalition

German testing and certification firm TÜV SÜD has announced it has joined the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC). It will partner with other members in order to contribute data and resources that help further develop the Higg Index.

The company has said it is already involved in a range of projects related to corporate social responsibility. Its areas of expertise include the inspection and auditing of working conditions, sustainable production processes, and animal welfare. 

TÜV SÜD’s range of inspection and testing services includes footwear and leather products, textiles and clothing, and fashion accessories.
