Superdry’s affordable, responsible down jackets have helped boost growth

11/05/2018
Clothing brand Superdry has announced full-year revenue figures for the 12 months to April 28 of £1.6 billion. This represents year-on-year growth of 22%.

The company said it had achieved growth “in all key territories” but pointed out that it was particularly pleased by the figures for “capital-light channels”; its wholesale  business grew by nearly 30%, while the corresponding figure for e-commerce was almost 26%.

It said “relentless product innovation” was another key contributor to its success. It highlighted the introduction during the 12-month period of responsibly sourced down jackets, “which meet the highest ethical standards”, but have a retail price of less than £100 as “particularly successful”.
