Extra breathability drives demand for Vivo

20/06/2018
Clo Insulation has said its Vivo ultra-lightweight, breathable insulation product is to be included in new apparel collections from equestrian brand Schockemöhle and urban streetwear brand Horsefeathers. The Norwich-based company has added that outdoor brands Bergans, Dynafit and Kjus will also be featuring Vivo in new products in the coming year.

Vivo uses strategically placed holes to trap warm air while allowing moisture to move away from the body quickly. Laboratory tests have shown that Vivo can increase the breathability of a garment by up to 30% without affecting thermal performance.

It is currently available in three versions: Vivo Eco is made from 90% recycled fibres; Vivo Teknica provides an edge in performance and Vivo Veluti delivers what Clo Insulation has described as a more luxury feel. The company has said it will continue to innovate and add more  Vivo products to its range during the rest of 2018 and 2019.

The company’s head of global sales, Toby Harvey, said in recent comments that the high levels of breathability that Vivo can offer is the key factor in its implementation “in clothing for everyone, everywhere”.
