Hohenstein prepares to open Bangladesh testing lab

Research and testing body the Hohenstein Institute will open a new textile testing laboratory in Dhaka, Bangladesh on July 28. 

The facility has been under construction for six months and Hohenstein has said it has made “extensive investment” in the laboratory and its equipment. 

It will offer a wide range of chemical and textile technology testing and results analysis for textile manufacturers, brands and retailers. This will include testing for harmful substances, performance tests, quality controls and inspections.

The laboratory will have around 30 local employees when it begins operations. Additional positions are planned for the future.
