Hohenstein expands its presence in Southeast Asia
07/12/2018
The official opening will be held on December 8. Construction began earlier this year. The facility will employ around 50 people and will offer a variety of textile technology and chemical tests, including performance testing, restricted substance list compliance, harmful substance control, and quality control and inspections.
This is the second new laboratory that Hohenstein has opened in Southeast Asia in 2018. In July, it opened a similar facility in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Upon making the announcement about the new laboratory in India, Professor Stefan Mecheels, director of the Hohenstein Institute, said: “For more than 70 years, Hohenstein has stood for textile expertise along the entire textile production chain. With the new laboratories in India and Bangladesh, we’re growing a network of expertise from which everyone will benefit. One thing is certain, wherever the examinations, tests and analyses take place, our laboratories all work with the most modern equipment according to the same standards.”
