Allbirds hires former Under Armour executive

US-based sustainable footwear brand Allbirds has appointed Erik Haskell as president of its international operations. He will lead all its commercial activities overseas. 

Mr Haskell’s most recent role was as managing director of the Asia-Pacific region for Under Armour. He had previously led the brand’s Greater China business. He has also served in executive roles at adidas. 

Allbirds said its new appointment would “play a crucial role in delivering the Allbirds vision to overseas market”. It currently sells its products in the US, New Zealand, Australia and Canada. 

“Erick's tenure leading Under Armour's business in Asia, and previous experiences including those in the Asia-Pacific region for adidas make for an exceptional fit to drive our international growth," added Joey Zwillinger, co-founder of Allbirds.
