Outdoor brand Canada Goose has published its results for the first quarter of its current business year, the three months to June 30, 2018.

In US dollars, its revenues for the quarter were $34.2 million, an increase of almost 60% year on year.

Direct-to-consumer sales accounted for 52% of Canada Goose sales for the quarter, whereas in the the first quarter of its last business year, only 30% of its sales were direct rather than through retail partners.

“Our strong start to the year, in our smallest fiscal quarter, is a great leading indicator,” said chief executive, Dani Reiss. “Our products and our brand continue to resonate with people around the world, and our direct-to-consumer channel was a standout performer in the quarter.”
