Canada Goose to expand training programme at new facility
18/02/2019
The site in the Chabanel area of Montréal will be its second in the province and its eighth wholly owned manufacturing facility in Canada. It will be operational by the end of March, employing 100 people. A total of 650 positions are expected to be created once it reaches full capacity by the end of 2020.
Canada Goose has said the factory will be equipped with state-of-the-art wireless manufacturing technology, which it explained will increase efficiency.
In cooperation with Montréal International, the official economic development and promotion agency for the region, the brand will expand its national sewing training school programme within this new facility. It will provide sewing skills training to prospective new employees, who will graduate directly to full-time employment opportunities within Canada Goose.
