Canada Goose’s children’s business doubled over the winter season 2017, showing the growth potential of the segment, according to CEO Dani Reiss.

“This shows that people trust us to provide the same protection that they enjoy for the children in their lives,” he said on a conference call to investors.

The Canadian company, famous for its fur-trimmed goose down parkas, reported a 27% rise in sales for the three months to the end of December, to $265.8 million.

The company also focused on adding more lightweight pieces “suitable for the urban explorer, including leather options”.

“Year to date, we added e-commerce sites in seven new markets, opened five new stores across three continents and we added more than 700 employees,” added Mr Reiss.
