Canada Goose makes new acquisition
Extreme weather outerwear company Canada Goose has acquired Engineered Apparel, a Canadian manufacturing facility with 120 employees.
Winnipeg-based Engineered Apparel has specialised in down manufacturing and the production of high-end garments for outdoor brands for 15 years, and has been a supplier to Canada Goose for the past five years.
Canada Goose president and CEO Dani Reiss described the acquisition as “another significant step toward further establishing Canada Goose as the pre-eminent outerwear manufacturer in Canada with the greatest outerwear manufacturing infrastructure in this country”.
The company said Engineered Apparel president Chuck Barbee would continue to run his operation in El Salvador, Central America, manufacturing products for Arc’teryx and other outerwear brands.
