Chinese interest at Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada

The organisers of Apparel Textile Sourcing Canada (ATSC) have said they expect more than 5,000 visitors to attend the 2018 edition of the event (August 20-22).

The exhibition, taking place for the third time in 2018, will also feature more than 500 international exhibitors. It is held at the Toronto International centre.

“This is a not-to-be missed event for anyone wanting to make global industry connections,” said Jason Prescott, CEO of organiser JP Communications. “Nowhere else in Canada can you find this kind of opportunity for international apparel networking and product displays under one roof, without having to travel overseas.”

With an ongoing trade dispute between the US and China, the organisers have pointed out that hundreds of Chinese companies will be travelling to Toronto, and that they are “ready to do business with Canadians”. With this in mind, ATSC 2018 will included a showcase of top brands from China.

“These are all highly successful, leading apparel brands in China, looking for partners to help grow their fashions globally,” Mr Prescott said. “This is an unprecedented opportunity for Canadians to get first dibs on local market rights, with the support of experienced international industry players.”
