Lacoste Footwear gets new product director
Lacoste Footwear, a joint venture between high-end French sports brand Lacoste and London-based group Pentland, has appointed Marc Hare as its new product director.

He will take up the position on September 10.

Mr Hare has run his own sneaker brand, Mr Hare, since 2008. He will lead Lacoste Footwear’s new ‘Mainline’ and ‘Future Concepts’ product teams. He will also work closely with CEO Gianni Georgiades to support Lacoste’s vision for the brand. 

Upon announcing the appointment, Mr Georgiades said: “I’m delighted that Marc is joining the team. His appointment reinforces the ambitions we have for Lacoste Footwear and I’m looking forward to watching the team push the boundaries into a new domain of innovation and excitement under Marc’s direction.”

Pentland and Lacoste launched the joint venture in January. They each hold a 50% stake in the company.
