Texon strengthens its Italian operations

Component supplier Texon International has announced it has integrated its long-term representative in Italy, Texon Italia, into its business. This change is effective as of August 2018.

The company has said that over the past eleven years Texon Italia has helped it to develop and support the Italian market. This has included establishing a range of new products for the fashion, apparel and safety industries, including technical woven fabrics, safety materials and products that fully comply with upcoming European footwear safety regulations.

Texon Italia was also responsible for Texon Vintex, a cellulose-based material that has been successful in the fashion industry and accessories market. It is available in a wide range of finishes and colours. 

Upon making the announcement, Jelle Tolsma, CEO of Texon, said: “The integration of Texon Italia into the Texon Group will further strengthen our collaboration, enabling the group to fully leverage the strengths of both businesses.”

He added that the “expertise and enthusiasm” of the Texon Italia team will help the group fulfil its ambitions for growth.
