The former vice-president for international development at Australian surf brand Billabong, Jeremy Hale, has taken up a new role. He is now president of outdoor brand Mountain Khakis and will oversee the company’s strategy, sales and marketing, product development and branding.

He will replace the founder of Mountain Khakis, Ross Saldarini, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities.

On taking up the role, Mr Hale commented: “MK is a brand that resonates with active lifestyle people, whether they live in the mountains or aspire to mountain-town living. I’ve watched the growth of MK over the past 15+ years and have always admired how the brand and product captures the ethos of rugged authenticity and functionality. I am looking forward to joining the team and helping MK move to the next level.”
