Teijin to focus on two products at Première Vision

Teijin’s presence at Première Vision in Paris (September 19-21) will focus mainly on two products, Solotex and Deltapeak.

Solotex is a polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre that is soft, stretchable, shape-retaining, dimensionally stable and brightly coloured owing to its “spring-like” molecular structure, Teijin has said.

It will present several versions, including shape-memory fabric and wool-like fabric. Partially bio-derived Teijin says Solotex is “an environmentally friendly choice” for next-generation clothing.

For its part, Deltapeak is a next-generation polyester fabric that combines “excellent physical properties with high levels of functionality and quality”, according to Teijin. It has a dense, flat-knit surface, making Deltapeak what it calls a multifunctional material that has been adopted by a range of global sports-apparel brands.

There is a new two-in-one Deltapeak sweat-suit fabric that combines water-repelling and sweat-absorbing properties.
