Première Vision takes aim at the sportswear market with new US show

The organisers of the Première Vision exhibition have announced that they will launch a new event in the US dedicated to sportswear.

The show will be launched in partnership with the Materials Show, which already runs four exhibitions per year, two in the Northeast of the US and two in the Northwest. 

The first edition of this new event, to be known as Première Vision Sport, will take place in Portland from August 14-15, coinciding with the second NW Materials Show of 2019. Première Vision has described the city as “the sportswear Silicon Valley”.

Explaining its decision to create this new exhibition, Première Vision said that sportswear “has never influenced the world of fashion as much as in recent years”. It added that this is why it chose to introduce the ‘Sport & Tech’ sector at its Paris show in September, offering a range of high-performance and technical materials for fashion. It has now taken its efforts further. 

Première Vision Sport will be a showcase for fabrics, components and designs for performance and active sports clothing. It will feature a selection of exhibitors from the organisation’s other international trade shows. There will also be a seminar programme.
