Première Vision to put the spotlight on performance materials

29/08/2018
The forthcoming Première Vision exhibition in Paris (September 19-21) will feature a new section dedicated to performance textiles and materials.

Explaining the reason for this new addition, the organisers said, “sport has never permeated the world of fashion as much as it has in recent seasons.”

They added that they wanted to help ready-to-wear brands develop their high-performance fashion pieces by highlighting the solutions available from sport and technical material exhibitors.

In addition, there will be a ‘Sport and Tech’ forum, which will present high-performance and creative materials, as well as prototypes of finished products.

There will also be a conference programme, during which the growing influence of sport on fashion will be discussed. Presentations will take place during all three days of the exhibition as part of this new feature.

Earlier this month, textile solutions provider Polartec announced that it would exhibit at Première Vision for the first time in September. At the time, it described the trade show as a “major opportunity” to champion what it called ‘tech casual’.
