‘Woolyester’ helps move Patagonia closer to zero waste

Outdoor brand Patagonia has included a new category, ‘woolyester’, among the materials it has used to make fleece jackets for the current season.

It says it has taken classic-style fleece tops and used a blend of recycled wool, polyester and nylon to make the fabric. The garments also have certified fair-trade sewing as part of their construction.

Patagonia has said its use of ‘woolyester’ is moving it “one step closer to a zero-waste apparel industry”.
