Wolverine says its “transformation” is working as net earnings rise

08/11/2018
Outdoor footwear group Wolverine World Wide has reported revenues of over $1.6 billion for the first nine months of 2018. This figure represents a fall in revenue of 6.3% compared to the same period last year.

However, Wolverine also managed to reduce its costs and its net earnings for the nine-month period improved to reach $160.8 million.

On releasing the figures, chief executive, Blake Krueger, said: “Our transformation initiatives continue to gain traction and deliver tremendous benefits. We expect revenue growth for the fourth quarter, especially for our two largest brands, Merrell and Sperry.”
