Growth in popularity for Clo’s Vivo insulation

UK-based thermal insulation developer Clo Insulation offered some information about the success of its Vivo ultra-lightweight, breathable insulation product at the ongoing Performance Days exhibition (November 28-29).

Speaking in Munich, the company told sportstextiles that the product has had great success since its launch in 2017. After featuring in the products of around 15 brands in winter 2018, including Bergans, Colmar and Kjus, it will be in the products of a total of 35 brands for the winter 2019 season.

Clo has previously revealed that laboratory tests have shown that Vivo can increase the breathability of a garment by up to 30% without affecting thermal performance. It is also made from 93% recycled fibres.

Among the plans the company has for 2019 is an expansion into the US market, having to this point been focused on supplying insulation for European brands.
