07/01/2019
Callaway Golf Company has completed its acquisition of German outdoor brand Jack Wolfskin. The value of the transaction is €418 million ($476 million), subject to a working capital adjustment.

The move is part of Callaway’s push into the active lifestyle category. It follows the acquisitions of apparel brand TravisMathew and backpack and luggage specialist Ogio.

Following the acquisition, Jack Wolfskin will continue to have its headquarters in Idstein, Germany.

Chip Brewer, president and CEO of Callaway, has expressed his belief that Jack Wolfskin “fits extremely well” with the brands already in its portfolio. “Jack Wolfskin provides an innovative product offering with long-term synergies to the existing soft goods portfolio,” he added.
