Toray to tie two Thai subsidiaries together

08/01/2019
Fibre and fabric manufacturer Toray has announced it will bring two subsidiaries in Thailand under the same management team.

Thai Toray Textile Mills (TTTM) and Luckytex have run as separate companies until now. They have been in operation since the early 1960s.

Both are engaged in spinning, weaving and dyeing blended fabrics, although TTTM’s main focus is on polyester-rayon blends, while Luckytex’s is on polyester-cotton mixes. TTTM also runs a circular knitting operation, while Luckytex has an added specialism in making fabric for air-bags.

Toray has said it hopes to complete a “management integration” process and for TTTM and Luckyex to start operations as one new company in July this year.
