Adidas brings Boost back into hiking boots with new Terrex offering

Adidas has put Boost midsole cushioning technology into a new hiking boot. It will bring the boot to market as part of the Terrex outdoor collection that it launched in 2009 and relaunched in 2014.

The company first put Boost into hiking boots in 2015, having put it in trail-running shoes the previous summer to offer wearers a high level of energy-return. The technology has now gone into a new boot, the Terrex Free Hiker.

This new Terrex product has a water-repellent Primeknit upper and the rubber outsoles Terrex began to develop with tyre company Continental in 2014.
