“Thanks to your government’s efforts, Cambodia has established itself as a strategic partner to many of the world’s largest garment, footwear, and travel goods companies,” the letter said.
It went on to say Cambodia is now in the top six suppliers of garments and footwear to the US and European markets. Apparel, footwear and travel goods accounted for 80% of Cambodia’s exports in 2018, with sales to Europe and the US bringing in export earnings of $8.5 billion.
