Exhibitor numbers up at Techtextil and Texprocess in 2019
The 2019 edition of the Techtextil and Texprocess events attracted 1818 exhibitors from 59 different countries to Frankfurt. The events run from May 14-17. The figures from the 2017 editions, the last time the events took place, were 1789 exhibitors from 68 countries. This means there are 1.6% more exhibitors in 2019.

Organiser, Messe Frankfurt, explains the difference between the two shows by saying Techtextil  focuses on the functionality of textile products while Texprocess has its focus on the processes involved in making those products. 

Messe Frankfurt’s vice-president for textile events, Olaf Schmidt (pictured), said both events have increased their exhibitor numbers by 1.6%. Techtextil will have 1501 exhibitors from 57 countries in 2019, while Texprocess will have 317 exhibiting companies from 34 countries.


At a preview press conference on May 13, the chief executive of Messe Frankfurt, Detlef Braun, said: “Technical textiles are one of the biggest sectors of the textile and apparel industry and a driving force of its economic strength. Over the coming days, Techtextil and Texprocess will turn Frankfurt into the epicentre of textile innovation.”
