Sanitized harnesses mint’s freshness for latest product

Antibacterial finishing specialist Sanitized has created an odour-management product for cotton using peppermint.

The base substance for Mintactiv is farmed in plantations and contains menthol, an essential oil with an antimicrobial effect. 

The peppermint oil is then refined for use in the textile industry.

Urs Zihlmann, product Manager at the Swiss company, said: “Ecologically concerned textile manufacturers and consumers have finally found a natural, safe and reliable odour-management system for cotton textiles.”
