Iniesta works with ASICS on new boots
Japanese sports brand ASICS has launched a new football boot called Ultrezza AI, which it developed in partnership with Andrés Iniesta.

The launch of the boots came exactly nine years after the player scored the winning goal for Spain in the World Cup Final in South Africa. After 16 years as a key component of Barcelona’s team, Andrés Iniesta moved to Japanese club Vissel Kobe in 2018.

In the development of the new boots ASICS used what it has called detailed analysis at its internal institute of sport science of the Iniesta playing style, with input and advice from the footballer himself. Agility for dodging opponents and a high level of ball control are among the qualities that the brand said it had been able to build in.

A proprietary cushioning material, fuzeGEL, lines the interior to alleviate the burden on the foot.
The front portion of the upper is made of leather, while the middle portion is made of stretchable mesh and film.
