The C&A Foundation in Mexico has backed an initiative focusing on the human rights of women working in the fashion industry in six states in Mexico.

The Economic Social and Cultural Rights Project (ProDESC), which started in February 2019 and has recently been extended, will run for two years.

One of the programmes that has benefited from the partnership with C&A Foundation is the School of Transnational Justice. In July, a project was launched to analyse cases of human rights abuses in the clothing industry committed by multinational companies.

“For us, this space must build strategic alliances to develop tools to achieve improvements in the human rights landscape in our country,” said Alejandra Ancheita, executive director of ProDESC.
