Those selected to join the programme will have access to Fashion for Good’s global partners, which include the C&A Foundation, adidas, Kering and PVH. They will also be able to secure funding, mentoring and bespoke coaching from these companies.
Explaining its decision to expand its innovation programme to South Asia, the organisation said the region has a rich history in textile manufacturing and production. It added that it is also an important consumer market for the fashion industry.
In the build up to launch, Fashion for Good will host an Innovation Day at Sri Lanka Fashion Week on November 24. It will invite 10 of the top innovators to showcase their solutions in a series of pitches, followed by a discussion with industry leaders.
Those interested in applying to the South Asia innovation programme can find more information here. It will start in February 2020.
