Fashion for Good expands scaling programme

02/05/2019
The Fashion for Good initiative has welcomed four new companies to its scaling programme, through which they will gain support in scaling-up their technologies or solutions.

The four companies are:

Mango Materials, a developer of biodegradable bio-polyester;
Algalife, which makes dyes and fibres from microalgae;
Nature Coatings, which is working to transform agricultural waste into pigments for printing, coatings, paint, ink and dope dyeing;
Sonovia (formerly Nano Textile), whose technology embeds fabric finishes directly into the fabric, eliminating the need for binders.

All four previously went through the organisation’s ‘Plug and Play’ accelerator programme and are now ready to take their development to the next level. They will have the opportunity to run pilot projects with Fashion for Good’s corporate partners, which include the C&A Foundation, adidas and Kering.

Their addition brings the total number of innovators to have participated in the scaling programme to 18. It was launched two years ago.
