Fashion for Good wants the industry to see the sense in circular

The report focuses on three different models – rental, subscription-rental and recommerce - and assesses their viability when adopted in four different market segments – value, mid-market, premium and luxury.
Unveiling the report, Katrin Ley, managing director of Fashion for Good, said: “We believe this study can drive the implementation of circular models and trigger much needed in–depth discussions around this topic by presenting businesses with actual quantified opportunities related to the adoption of circularity by fashion brands.”
Fashion for Good has said that a lack of understanding of the financial viability of circular models is one of the main barriers to their adoption. It hopes brands and retailers will use the findings within this report to better understand the models studied and to guide them as they move their business towards a more circular model.
A number of the organisation’s corporate partners are active in the filed of circular fashion, as are many of the innovators to have passed through its Innovation Platform. They have contributed to the research for the report, which can be accessed in full here.
