Fashion for Good turns its attention to colour

10/06/2019
Amsterdam-based organisation Fashion for Good has launched a new theme at the interactive museum it opened in its home city back in October. For the next three months, the items on display at its on-site concept store will be based around the theme ‘Colour’.

The theme explores the different methods for colouring textiles and footwear and showcases six brands and designers who are challenging the dyeing processes currently used in the fashion industry.

Items on display include shoes from Belgian designer Mats Rombaut, who uses plant-based substances to colour his designs, and backpacks from Swedish outdoor brand Fjällräven that are dyed using technology from SpinDye, one of the companies to have passed through Fashion for Good’s accelerator programme.

In addition to the products in ‘The Good Shop’, the name it uses for the concept store, Fashion for Good will organise a series of events, workshops and panel discussions around the ‘Colour’ theme. It will cover topics like dyeing and digital printing during these sessions.
