Rental platforms to help the apparel industry ‘switch gear’

Through this project, to be known as Switching Gear, it will work with six brands to help them design and launch pilots of such business models by 2021.
The partners aim to establish a global network made up of solution providers and innovators, brands, and rental and re-commerce experts. The founding members of this network are: Eileen Fisher, Gibbon, MUD jeans, Reflaunt, RePack, Stuffstr, Style Lend, The Next Closet, The Renewal Workshop.
Gwen Cunningham, programme lead of Circle Economy, said: “We are very excited to build the Switching Gear network together with Fashion for Good. We strongly believe that connecting a powerful and active community of brands, solutions providers and experts is key to advancing the practical implementation of circular business models in the market.”
