Fashion for Good initiative gains technology partner

16/08/2017
Automated technology provider SoftWear Automation has signed up as a partner of the Fashion for Good initiative, a project that aims to bring together companies from across the supply chain to change how fashion is designed, made, worn and reused.

The Atlanta-based company will support the initiative’s ‘scaling programme’, which aims to promote change that it accessible for all.

The two groups will work together to encourage the use of SoftWear’s automated Sewbot worklines for the manufacturing of apparel, footwear and home goods.

Katrin Ley, managing director of Fashion for Good, said: “At the core of Fashion for Good is innovation. Together with our partners, we aim to use innovation to move towards a world in which we take, make and remake, rather than take, make and waste. We are excited to welcome SoftWear Automation into our scaling programme and we look forward to collaborating with them to make their revolutionary Sewbot worklines technology mainstream.”
