New tennis ball last four times longer, Wilson claims

Sports brand Wilson claims to have created “a landmark moment” for the tennis industry by creating balls that will last longer without requiring packaging in pressurised plastic containers.

Its Triniti tennis ball, which will be available in specialist retail outlets from mid-September, comes only in recyclable packaging and Wilson said its engineering of the ball will make it possible for players to use it for four times longer than a standard Wilson tennis ball.

“Triniti delivers a higher degree of bounce consistency,” the company said, “so that it can stay in play longer. It provides more control, feel and spin and maintains its liveliness, or fresh-ball feel, four times longer.”
